El presidente de Consejo Judío Latinoamericano llegará este miércoles a Caracas para reunirse con el canciller Nicolás Maduro, y abordar lo sucedido en la madrugada del pasado sábado en la Sinagoga de Maripérez.

Jack Terpin evaluará lo que está ocurriendo en Venezuela con relación al reciente ataque antisemita. "Vamos a confirmar la posición del Gobierno porque todo lo sabemos por la prensa", dijo el presidente del Consejo Judío mediante un comunicado.

La vocera para América Latina de la Asociación Judía Americana, Dina Siegel, teme que lo acontecido en la Sinagoga produzca una factura en la sociedad venezolana que termine afectando aún más a la comunidad judía en el país.

Siegel abogó porque se detenga el discurso antisemita y que se sancione a los responsables del incidente perpetuado por un grupo violento aún desconocido. Como parte de las investigaciones, una comisión del Cuerpo de Investigaciones Científicas, Penales y Criminalísticas estuvo este lunes en la Sinagoga para realizar las experticias de rigor, además de hacer un inventario de lo sustraído del lugar.

Las embajadas de Alemania, Finlandia, República Checa, Francia, Canadá y el encargado de negocios de Estados Unidos expresaron su solidaridad con la comunidad hebrea y solicitaron al gobierno venezolano que cumpla con su promesa de resolver el caso.

The president of the Latin American Jewish Congress will arrive Wednesday to meet with Chancellor Nicolás Maduro in regards to the recent events at the synagogue in Maripérez early Saturday morning.

Jack Terpin will evaluate what is happening in Venezuela in the aftermath of the recent anti-Semitic attack. "We want to assure ourselves of the position of the government because all we know is what we heard from the press," said the president of the Jewish Congress through a spokesperson.

Dina Siegel, Jewish American Association spokesperson for Latin America, fears that the events in the synagogue has torn Venezuelan society and may end up impacting further the Jewish community in the country.

Siegel pleaded for an end to anti-Semitic rhetoric and for punishment of the as yet identifified group of violent perpetrators. A commission of the Corps of Scientific Investigations, Penal and Criminology spend Monday in the synagogue to provide its expertize in addition to inventory the missing property.

The embassies of Germany, Finland, Czech Republic, France, Canada and the charge d'affairs for United States expressed their solidarity with the Hebrew community and asked for the Venezuelan government to meet its commitment to solve the case.
