House Democrats launch radio ads against Republicans who opposed stimulus, health bills
Source: USA Today

As they say, that didn't take long. Five days to be exact.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee this morning says it's going to run radio ads and a grassroots campaign in 28 House districts against Republicans who opposed the stimulus package passed Wednesday.

The ads start tomorrow and will be up for a week.

The DCCC says its "Putting Families First" campaign focuses on the Republicans' "out of step priorities by putting bank bail outs and building schools in Iraq before the needs of the Americans in the struggling economy."

2. That's great. It's too bad Dems have to pay to get their ideas on the air.
Apparently, republican ideas rate free air time.

4. I hope they make clear in their message that there are many Republican
governors who want this passed, they should list them too.

8. They'll force the right-wing radio jocks to talk about the rethug obstructionists.
They'll make it an issue that they have to keep front-and-center in the rethug minds.

7. That's just beating a dead elephant.
The fringe party can't stop the stimulus, they can't change the stimulus, they can only make noise. let's just hope our folk will ignore them and take the time to study up and get the thing right.

9. Actually, you are 100% wrong
the fringe party can stop the stimulus, they *have* already changed the stimulus.

The stimulus in the House version was only 22% tax cuts. It is now up to 29%, and the fringe party wants 40%. We'll see what the final version looks like. Tax cuts help the rich, but they don't create jobs, and they don't fix bridges and roads.

How the hell do you count 60 votes in the Senate, especially since traitor Nelson has already said he will not support the stimulus in it's present state?
