Key trial in Hollinger case to start in Delaware
Forbes

Wilmington, Del., Feb 18 (Reuters) - Lawyers for press mogul Conrad Black and board members who ousted him as head of his newspaper empire were set to square off on Wednesday in a high-profile trial that could decide the company's fate.

The trial in Delaware Chancery Court is part of a raft of litigation between Black and Hollinger International Inc. At issue is whether Black can sell his controlling stake in the company to outside investors, or whether the board can block that buyout...

Black, a member of Britain's House of Lords, is expected to testify in the Delaware trial. People familiar with the matter say other possible witnesses include Hollinger International's interim Chief Executive Gordon Paris and investment bankers form Lazard LLC, which is exploring as asset sale for the company.
