Musharraf says no to nuclear site inspections
Pakistan would in no circumstances permit foreign inspectors to enter the country and monitor its nuclear weapons or civil nuclear facilities, General Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan's military president, said on Tuesday.

"This is a very sensitive issue," he said. . "Would any other nuclear power allow its sensitive installations to be inspected? Why should Pakistan be expected to allow anybody to inspect?"

SNIP

But Gen Musharraf, whose "rogue scientist" account of the scandal was endorsed last week by George W. Bush, the US president, said he was confident no further proliferation would take place from Pakistan.

"We are not hiding anything . . . what is the need of any inspection? What for?" he said. "We will co-operate with any organisation, the International Atomic Energy Agency, or anybody. But don't treat us as if we do not know what we are doing. We are doing everything according to international standards."

1. Wouldn't you like to know the real story about the rogue scientist?
I read that there was no way the government could not have been informed. I wonder how deep is the money tree and who it touched on these illegal arm sales? Iran,Syria,N.Korea..2 of the three mentioned on the axis of evil list. Is that a co-incidence or are their unseen hands providing the weapons right where they want them to be. It was Old Grandpappy Bush who said, if you supply both sides in a war, you will always make money.

Of course these are the weapons that truly take no prisoners. I am sure their is a story buried not too deeply in here.

I can't forget that Musharaff was one of the few foreign leaders names that Chimpy remembered on the campaign trail. The very week that the CIA under Clinton had cut a deal to have Bin Laden handed over to the Pakistan government..a military coup instilling Musharaff occured and the deal was killed.

I suspect that Poppy's rogue element in the CIA was involved and that Musharaff is their guy in the ME now. What kind of deals have the devils cut there..I suspect billions of dollars have changed hands in these sales..that would be one hell of an interesting paper trail..follow the money...
