Ashcroft sued over interference in terror case

~SNIP~
U.S. prosecutor alleges top official 'placed perception over reality'

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal prosecutor in a major terrorism case in Detroit has taken the rare step of suing Attorney General John Ashcroft, alleging the Justice Department interfered with the case, compromised a confidential informant and exaggerated results in the war on terrorism.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Convertino of Detroit accused the Justice Department of "gross mismanagement" of the war on terrorism in a lawsuit filed late Friday in federal court in Washington.

Justice officials said today they had not seen the suit and had no comment.

The suit is the latest twist in the Bush administration's first major post-Sept. 11, 2001, terrorism prosecution, which is now in danger of unravelling over allegations of prosecutorial misconduct.

1. I hope they find him guilty on all counts, and THEN
for his punishment? Having to spend his entire sentence surrounded by calico cats and pornographic pictures (softcore, like Penthouse centerspreads, will do).

4. There's a nice facility on Cuba we could put him in...
In fact, I don't think he needs a lawyer or any formal charges.

6. Why take up a bed at the Cuban facility
just send him to Cuba. Better yet send him to Iraq or Afghanastan. I don't usually wish this on people, but send him to Corcoran prison out here in CA, they have a problem with prisoner rape. For him to see the nekked form of another man that was a sodomizer, his sodomizer, would be the end of it for Ashcroft.
