Ill. gov: Heroes from history offer perspective
Source: THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

CHICAGO -- Illinois' governor says that while he faces federal charges and impeachment proceedings he has drawn comfort from thinking about some of the most celebrated civil rights heroes.

Gov. Rod Blagojevich made the comments in an interview with NBC's "Today."

In the recorded interview released Sunday, Blagojevich describes the trauma of his Dec. 9 arrest on federal corruption charges.

He said that later that same day he began thinking about Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi and described how that "put some perspective" on his legal ordeal.

The interview airs Monday on "Today."

The governor's publicist says Blagojevich will appear Monday on ABC's "The View" and "Good Morning, America." He'll be on CNN's "Larry King Live" Monday evening.

4. Narcissist. In another reality, he could have been a serial killer.
Same sense of self importance. Yes, I know that guy with the place in Crawford fits the bill, too. Sorry, I watched the "BTK Killer" on MSNBC this afternoon, and can't help but draw parallels. Blago, Bush, BTK - It's All About Them. Others are just actors on their stage, props if you will, not real people. Same personality disorder, just manifested differently.

Bush and BTK actually killed people. At least Blago hasn't done that. But he's no prize, that's for sure.
