Bushes depart Washington
Source: CNN

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Former President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush boarded a helicopter bound for Andrews Air Force Base in front of the Capitol after inaugural ceremonies for President Barack Obama.

Obama and first lady Michelle Obama walked to the helicopter — known as Marine One when the president is on board but called “Executive One” for this flight — with the Bushes to bid them farewell with handshakes and hugs.

Earlier, former Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife, Lynne Cheney, departed by car after being bid farewell by the Obamas and Bushes.

After arriving at Andrews, the Bushes were scheduled to board a plane to take them to Texas.

5. Thanks for posting this.
I couldn't quite understand the crowd and was hoping it was something like this. I was clapping as I saw the copter fly away. What a relief to see this corrupt administration GONE!!!

18. They were just cheering on Barack's White Sox
that's what they sing at whatever they're calling Comiskey these days whenever a Sox player hits a home run.

Can't imagine why else they'd be singing that. Can you?

6. Orwell's Ministry of Truth....
... wouldn't waste any time at all before settling down to the serious task of completely removing this President from the historical record. All of the school children would end up being taught that the White House remained unoccupied for 8 years, because a suitable President was unable to be found during that period of time.

George W. -- who?

10. Reminds Me of the Exchange Between Yoda and Mace Windu from Star Wars Ep. I
YODA: Always two there are... no more... no less. A master and an apprentice.

MACE WINDU: But which one was destroyed, the master or the apprentice?

13. My husband
was unaware of the tradition of the new president walking the old president to the helicopter. We waved our middle fingers into salute. Thank God those eight years are over.

I personally would have taken the low road and just told him to not let the door hit him the ass on the way out.
