Stallings: Presidents are losing their credibility.
Under the current Bush administration, Stallings believes trust of the president is at a low. A recent Washington Post poll determined about half of Americans don't believe what Bush says.
"A year ago, we were all told things about Iraq, about international affairs and about terror," Stallings said. "We're still not sure what we're doing there. I think this administration was determined to fight that war regardless of what the evidence was."
Stallings said modern presidential campaigns bring out the worst in candidates. He predicts the public will be insulted by the negativity of the upcoming presidential race.
"As we get through this election, the issue of credibility is going to be very much at stake," Stallings said. "When that's gone, I'm not sure what's left."
