US soldier killed by bomb
US soldier killed by bomb
February 17, 2004

A ROADSIDE bomb exploded near Tall Afar in northern Iraq, killing an American soldier and wounding another, the US military said today.

A statement issued by the US military's Task Force Olympia said the soldiers were travelling in a convoy when the bomb went off at 5.15pm yesterday (0115 AEDT, Tuesday).

The two soldiers were evacuated to an army hospital, but one died en route. The other soldier was still in the hospital.

The latest death brings to 541 the number of US service members who have died since the US launched the Iraq war in March.

5. God, that's terrible Mari333
I pray for the safety of your children and for EVERYBODY'S children.

Except Bushevik Children. Gewt those grotesque little DeLays, Cheneys, Bushes and the rest out there on the front lines. It'll build character in a group that is very Caligulan and sorely needs it.

3. Okay...
So many a soldier dies by a roadside bomb...has anybody figured out a way to protect them from this? If not why not, and if so why not inplement it ASAP?

Oh excuse me...I forgot we have a pirate administration in power now!

I won't use the hate word but I do have a very antagonistic attitude towards these incredibly inept group of wannabe buccaneers who think pacifying Iraq is just another run down Magic Mountain!

They bear the responsibility for whatever outcome happens......

4. Tax dollars COULD be used to armor-plate vehicles
which could save some lives, but instead the money is going to buy Halliburton employees monogrammed towels...
