US aircraft carrier group heads into Suez Canal
The US aircraft carrier George Washington, other US ships as well as a British guided missile destroyer and a submarine headed into Egypt's Suez Canal from the Mediterranean Monday, the canal authorities said.

The carrier was accompanied by the guided missile cruiser Vella Gulf, guided missile destroyer Bulkeley, support ship Supply and transport Sisler, while the British vessels were the destroyer Newcastle and submarine Turbulent, the authorities said.

Their exact destination was not known, but they were heading toward the Red Sea and the Gulf region, the authorities said.

2. Are these replacements
or is this part of some build up of forces?

The Pentagon is undergoing a massive troop rotation right now. I would guess this is just part of that rotation?

11. Today my stepson and his whole unit arrive in Iraq
and we will have to wait 2-3 weeks to know where.
I hope there is a pullout of the troops..I can dream. The rotations are going on now.

5. Until troops come home, it is a build up. They have lied about everything
I fully expect a new offensive and will not believe this 'rotation' until actual troop levels are reduced.

4. Latest warnings of terrorist attacks on Saudi Arabia...
make me think that an invasion to save the Saudis may be in the works. And then the Bushies will control about 60% of the world's oil.

7. Invasion of Saudi Arabia?
I don't think so. Saudi Arabia has one of the most modern military forces on the planet. Their primary supplier is... well US of A. They got it all, including a space program. Space program means a missile program of some sort. Saudis receive our most sophisticated military technology, sometimes even before the Israelis do.

10. Sorry.
That one's not even plausible. The Bushitas and the Saudi's are very much in bed together. Is it time to find Osama?

13. True. The House of Bush and the House of Saud have many
interlocking directorships. We would go into Saudi Arabia only to save the House of Saud.

15. Bush is in trouble in the polls... gotta have another war
Maybe find Osama. That's his only hope, but finding Osama won't put people back to work.
