Afghan militia submits new batch of heavy weapons

Afghanistan's most powerful militia gave up a fresh consignment of heavy weapons yesterday, boosting President Hamid Karzai's feeble central government and a sluggish drive to disarm regional warlords.

Trucks carrying eight multiple rocket launchers, four tanks and three Scud missiles emerged from the Panjshir Valley, the stronghold of the Northern Alliance faction, some 75 kilometers north of Kabul.

The weapons were destined for a compound near Kabul of Afghanistan's new, U.S.-trained national army, which is supposed to replace the unruly regional militias who still control much of the country.

For some reason I have trouble swallowing this one! Just like I don't believe a President could choke to unconsciousness, death if an event doesn't occur (person aids or unconscious victim aids himself). The President surely has a bio monitoring chip inside his body or attached to his body and alarm triggered. END OF STORY. The Repuke story was a lie. LIAR AWOL.

The Northern Alliance can afford to send their heavy weapons to Kabul. They control the capital and essentially the government.
