Tutu tells Blair : Apologise for ' immoral ' war

Archbishop Desmond Tutu will challenge Tony Blair and George Bush today to apologise for their pursuit of a counter-productive and "immoral" war in Iraq.

In a scathing analysis of the background to the invasion, he will ridicule the "dangerously flawed" intelligence that Britain and the US used to justify a military action which has made the world a "great deal less safe".

8. TUTU BLASTS 'WEAK' BLAIR AND BUSH

RCHBISHOP Desmond Tutu last night attacked Tony Blair and President Bush for being too weak to say sorry for their "immoral" Iraq war.


He said Britain's claim Iraq could launch weapons of mass destruction in 45 minutes was part of "dangerously flawed" intelligence that led to war.


The Nobel peace prize winner said in London: "An immoral war was thus waged and the world is a great deal less safe place than before."
