Sun Feb 15, 4:02 AM ET

BAGHDAD, Iraq - An 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper died of injuries suffered when his vehicle overturned near Baghdad, the U.S. military said Sunday.

The soldier, whose name was not released, died Saturday night at the 31st Combat Support Hospital where he was taken after the accident, the statement added.

The 82nd Airborne Division, based at Fort Bragg, N.C., is responsible for Anbar province and parts of Babil province west of Baghdad. The area includes the town of Fallujah, a center of anti-American violence, and stretches to the Syrian and Jordanian borders to the west and the Saudi Arabian border in the south.

1. It takes some doing to overturn a hummer (the real ones at least)
I can only wonder ~why~ it turned over, something stinks.

and I get to think, now, everytime I see a headline "US soldier killed" in here..is that mine? is that my kid?
this is a whole different take on it now..a whole different way of watching the news, the boards.

4. I understand what you are feeling
soon I won't have to worry about that anymore. But in the meantime, my husband has moved down into the Sunni Triangle until his return in April.

5. I wonder if many of the vehicle death/injury accidents which Rumsfeld
called non-combat were actually our children fleeing from rebel attacks and collided?
