Rice says only an idiot would trust North Korea
Source: Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in an interview released on Friday only an "idiot" would trust North Korea, which is why the United States is insisting on a way to check its nuclear claims.

A 2005 multilateral deal under which Pyongyang would abandon its nuclear programs has become snagged on Pyongyang's refusal to spell out a protocol on how to verify its disclosures about its nuclear programs.

The sticking point appears to be North Korea's reluctance to allow inspectors to take samples to test a declaration of its atomic program that it submitted this year as part of the aid-for-disarmament agreement.

U.S. President George W. Bush had hoped an agreement on verification with North Korea, which conducted a nuclear test in October 2006, would have opened the way to dismantling Pyongyang's nuclear arms capacity.

Speaking to a group of foreign policy experts and students on Wednesday, Rice rejected criticism from U.S. conservatives who ...

(sigh)

Isn't tact a requirement of a SOS, instead of warmongering? You might not trust them, but you keep your mouth shut about that belief.

Yeah, North Korea is very bad news.

Now get lost, Condi. Your historical legacy is just as set in (tomb)stone as your "leader."

Only an IDIOT would provoce a nation like North Korea, to build that dam nuclear bomb they exploded for some year ago... The last 8 year have been a nightmare to watch Every single opportunity to build some trust with an paranoid government who really do believe that US are on the brink of attacking North Korea and to kill every one of them.. This more than just treating with military raid into some secure places, in fact some of the more radicals in the outgoing administration once wanted to bomb the nuclear facility to stop North Korea starting up the nuclear plant.. What this had been doing to the Psyche of North Korea would be devastating.. A war in Korea would be more than sure.. But thankfully this radicals was stooped, by the US Air force, the brass is seldom very happy going to war - in war you know, people is killed..

Is North Korea to be trusted... I doubt it... But if you do no try at least to get a door open, then what?. Should North Korea be stuck with this regime they have now for ever?... And if everything is sure, is that it is like living in hell to live in North Korea...

And for the leader questing.. I have noe clues if he is alive or not. And I doubt the rest of the world know it either.. And the North Korean leadership is for now not telling the world, or their own nothing of what become of the "dear leader".. I would he either is very, very sick, or dead. And they might trying to find a way to let the government exist, without the family who started the whole thing in 1945.. But I am not sure how they should do that.. I guess they not know it either as long as they have not told that the "dear leader" is sick or dead.. I doubt that man would just sit home and smoke cigars when the NK celebrated 60 year of indepence.. I really doubt a man who love military show just want to se it by TV...

8. The Bush administration trusted North Korea

In October the Bushies signed an agreement with NK on their nuclear plants. The Bushies even took NK off the terrorist supporter list as part of the agreement.

Within a week, NK reneged on the agreement and instead of shutting down the plant, they started building it up.

Apparently Rice and Bush are idiots by their own admission.
