Four Found Guilty in Attempted Citizen's Arrest of Karl Rove
Source: LAW.com/AP

A jury on Friday returned guilty verdicts against four people who attempted to arrest former White House adviser Karl Rove during a fundraising appearance earlier this year in Iowa.

Found guilty of trespassing are retired Methodist minister Chet Guinn, two members of the social welfare group Des Moines Catholic Worker Community, Edward Bloomer and Mona Shaw, and former group member Kirk Brown.

The four were cited after attempting a citizen's arrest of Rove on July 25 at the Wakonda County Club in Des Moines, where he spoke at a Republican fundraiser. They were stopped at the country club's entry gate.

Shaw said she was disappointed by the verdict, especially since the judge instructed the jury that a citizen's arrest was justification for being on the grounds if jurors thought the defendants had reasonable cause to believe that there was someone there who had committed a felony.

"I'm surprised that there are six people in the United States who don't believe Karl Rove should be suspected of committing felonies," Shaw told The Associated Press after the verdict.

4. Guilt of Trespassing at a Country Club? I can see that. But NOT guilty of trying to arrest Rove.
Try it again, on public ground.

5. Kind of a bait-and-switch headline over there at Law.com
I guess "Four Found Guilty of Trespassing at Country Club" wouldn't generate clicks for them, though.

8. Kickin' ass and takin' names
I keep thinkin' about that woman who tried to cuff the Dark Lord err I mean
he who must not be named err I mean Karl Rove and tried to make a citizens arrest. It was obviously doomed to failure, but she got so close to him.
If it was me, and was gonna get arrested anyway, I would have lunged at the bastard and cold-cocked him right in his fucking ugly face WHHAAMM!:applause:
Sure I would get tackled to the ground and carted off but I would have that sweet sense of satisfaction leaving that mongoloid with a busted face. Oh, if I had extra time, I would knee him in the groin just for fun.

9. It is painfully clear....
....that neither the US Justice Dept, nor the Democratic Party have any intention of holding these War criminals accountable.

It is time for citizens to take the responsibility.

I will donate $500 to ANY organization that will place a Bounty on Bush/Cheney to be paid to anyone who provides concrete evidence that leads to their indictment or arrest.

A small, transparent trust located in a neutral country like Switzerland could administer the fund. If the BOUNTY is promoted internationally, it would quickly grow to Mega-Millions.

The fund would also be tasked with running full page Wanted For War Crimes ads in major Global newspapers every 3 months until the Bounty is awarded or depleted.

I believe that such a fund would be wildly popular worldwide, and provide the administrators an opportunity to make a little money.
I have neither the resources or skills to institute such a fund, but like I said above, I am willing to donate $500. I also believe that there are at least a million more worldwide (extreme minimum) who would also be willing to donate....that adds up to some serious money.

Wanted
for
WAR CRIMES

A $500 Million Dollar Reward will be paid to any individual, organization, or country that provides concrete information leading to the arrest, or the issuance of an Internal Arrest Warrant for War Crimes committed by George Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, or Donald Rumsfeld.

It is clear that the Opposition Party (Democratic Party) and the US Justice Department will do NOTHING to hold the criminals accountable.
A private organization representing Citizens of the World would have better results.

Even if Bush/Cheney are never arrested, a Mega-Million Dollar International Bounty would certainly keep them looking over their shoulders, curtail retirement travel plans, AND serve as a warning to future "Unitary Executives".

It would also put a nice ribbon around the Bush Legacy.
