Military Dentist Doesn't Recall Bush
Military Dentist Doesn't Recall Bush

http://www.lasvegassun.com/sunbin/stories/bw-wh/2004/feb/12/021205500.html

The White House released dental records intended to support President Bush's account of his Air National Guard service in Alabama, while several members of the Guard unit said in interviews they don't remember ever seeing Bush at their Montgomery base.

Nor does the dentist specifically recall treating Bush. But all of them told The Associated Press that doesn't mean he wasn't there, serving alongside hundreds of others in the Guard unit.

3. Absolutely ridiculous
Um. I can't remember the parties who were litigating in the courtroom before us yesterday, how the hell is a dentist supposed to remember someone from 1973? C'mon, I'm a hardcore democrat, but this is absolutely ridiculous.

4. I don't remember every passenger I ever had in my taxicab....
....but I sure as hell remember the 'famous' people I've driven -- including their roadies and crew members.

And that's a situation where I'm driving them, not looking into their mouths picking gunk out of their teeth. I believe that would be somewhat more memorable...

6. Ridiculous? Yes! --- Ironic? Also, YES!
Ironic that the Republicans call this activity "trolling for garbage" and chastise us on this and the innuendo. What I find ironic and amusing is that this is very similar (if not identical) to what they did to Clinton.

Yep, I agree with you Burmatesq... but at the same time, I can't help but to take a little bit of selfish delight in the spectacle of it all. (I'm aware of the risks though. Rats!)

5. so... bush could see the dentist but not the doctor...
he needed to see for a mandatory physical.

Bush could get his dental work done at the base but not show up for drill?

9. if Bush's teeth really are that bad ...
... one would think that a dentist would recall the case. (My dentist jokes that he always mentally calculates the fee he could charge to fix various things!)

Molly Ivins says that Texas insiders claim Bush is self-conscious about having bad teeth.

10. I have been wondering why
Rove and co. in an attempt to prevent Bush's AWOL record from becoming an issue, have done such stupid things--such as release those "pay stubs" when they show a non show for six months and such as the "dental record" They know damn well these things do not mean a thing.

It seems to me this is the SOP. Do stupid things that are totally off the wall and that defy logic a couple of times. People begin to get irate, and jump all over it, pointing out the stupidity of the whole thing. Then after the outrage, Rove and co. get very very mad, and irate, and lay out the meme--in this case it was the accusation of dredging up things just as a political hack job and no way-ubn uh we ain't gonna release anything anymore to anyone who resorts to such cheap methods just to smear our dear presidunce.

If that is not the case, then I cannot figure out how all of those brilliant, well educated people, actually think these things will convince anyone. I think they know that and if not, then they are as nuts as George.

"But all of them told The Associated Press that doesn't mean he wasn't there, serving alongside hundreds of others in the Guard unit."

We must not forget the mandatory disclaimer.

Apparently no one from AL remembers this jerk.

Was he a loner?

Social outcast?

AWOL?
