W House noncommittal on Bush 9/11 panel appearance

HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb 12 (Reuters) - The White House said on Thursday it would discuss with a commission investigating the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks whether U.S. President George W. Bush would testify publicly but declined to commit to a presidential appearance.

White House spokesman Scott McClellan, asked by reporters about commission Chairman Thomas Kean's desire to hear from Bush, said, "All these are issues that we will continue to discuss with the commission in a spirit of cooperation."

Kean was quoted in The Record newspaper of northern New Jersey as saying he would ask Bush and former President Bill Clinton and their vice presidents to testify in public about intelligence they received ahead of the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States.

Commission spokesman Al Felzenberg said conversations have begun at the staff level related to whether Bush will appear before the commission.

2. 9/11 Committees now are to cover; not reveal.

A group of Dems were on CSPAN yesterday talking about Iraqi intelligence, etc. Saudi Arabia involvement,etc.

I called Delahunt's office and asked they meet with the Families of 9/11 to do their own investigation. Many groups have information and questions that need answering.

Terrorists don't exist as they say...Ashcroft lied, etc. I won't be surprised if the Alerts weren't made up either.

Don't blame any people or any country for the Neo Con mischief of 9/11. It is a small group involved with power...and the dots lead to the present White House.

4. Where's the media frenzy?

There are assorted hearings and at least one grand jury is taking testimony, but the American media barely notices. At least 2 high level WH staff testified and nobody even knew about it until a week later?

Now we have a sitting president obstructing justice by not fully cooperating with the 9-11 investigation, and he'll think about testifying? They forced Clinton to testify about his sex life, at the very least, W should have to testify, about why he sat on his hands that morning while 1000's of people were jumping to their death in NYC?

5. Bush "don't testify"

cuz he has a LOT to explain regarding his actions during the morning of the 9-11 attacks.

He will stonewall the commission or submit to closed door questioning without being placed under oath.
