4. GWB = LBJ except for civil rights and equality.
And the problem is that GWB in the name of the US created a problem we can't get out of for a really long time and for lots of money that could better be used at HERE at home. So he creates a phony baloney issue to distract the populace: Gay MARRIAGE. (OMG. How many lives are really in imminent threat if this should come pass? Maybe SF has possession of a WMD. Really?)

On the other hand LBJ inherited a war that conflicted with his domestic issue of the war on poverty and civil rights. He didn't handle it (the war part) well either. Advisors. Advisors. Advisors. Still, he had the good sense to not run for another term.

GWB has NO sense of that. He doesn't know right from wrong. He seems to only be concerned by his war for the rich. Let the poor sacrifice the lives of THEIR young in that battle. I guess that's what he learned growing up and serving the country in the homeland NG vs going off to REAL combat experience.

If you can't tell, this really pisses me off.

And that's just THIS issue.

EVIL thy name is BUSH.

13. 538 dead since March 2003
If you include 58 from UK and 41 other, the total is 637.

Well Mr. ersatz president, how many more would it take to satisfy you, you SOB?

and while you're about it, take a look at these faces--they didn't have half the chances you had!

2. God damn...
We have to get our troops out of Iraq. With the green troops rotating in and the experienced ones rotating out, more are going to be killed and at a higher rate. And, the country is on the brink of civil war...

5. Todays fine example of Rumsfeld's "Human Nature"
I wonder what forced these guys out of their secure bomb proof hiding place to go venturing out in the open. They don't go out much anymore.

6. Been quiet for US deaths this month....
was thinking that the insurgents were changing tactics with all the tragic deaths of Iraqis in the last couple days. Guess they plan on covering both angles. So sad and so unnecessary. This is on Bush's grave no matter what happens in the election.

14. Leap Year in Iraq
By the end of the month, there will be 35-40 (and maybe more) American soldiers - young men and women in their prime of life, healthy, with families, friends and colleagues, full of love and laughter - who will be dead. Dead. Because of this war. Almost a guarantee at this point. These will be the February dead - the first February dead, and one can only hope the only February dead.

Think of them now, nervously fingering a trigger, or relaxing on a berm, or playing soccer with some kids, or reading a magazine. See them sitting in their cots, or scanning the deadly horizon, or writing a letter. They will be dead before the end of the month. LOOK INTO THEIR FACES. Sad vision.

The motherfucker hasn't scarfed them up yet, so their eyes still light up the desert, their boots still mark the city streets with a history of movement. But the motherfucker has its days and nights, its hours and its averages. The motherfucker says one thing:

TIME IS ON MY SIDE.

15. 10 dead in February (so far)...
With the troop rotation and the increased hostility towards our troops, this months totals will most likely be higher than January...:(
