Perot Systems to increase workforce in India
say Ross...can you hear that giant sucking sound??

Vasantha Arora (IANS)
Washington, February 7

Perot Systems, the computer services company founded by former presidential candidate Ross Perot, is all set to add about 3,500 jobs in India and move into two new facilities there this year.

Most of the growth will come from a call centre and medical claims processing business, whose employee numbers are expected to rise to 2,800 workers from 800, said a report in the Star Telegram, published from Dallas, Texas.

Mindy Brown, a spokeswoman for the company, said the expansion was related to acquisitions of two Indian companies made by Perot Systems in the past year.

In July, Perot Systems paid up to $10 million for Vision Healthsource, which handles medical bills. In December, it paid $105 million for technology outsourcing provider HCL Perot Systems, buying out its Indian joint-venture partner, HCL Technologies Ltd.

1. The AWOL regime is always using the word patriot
to keep people in line....I think that
companies that send American jobs overseas
are not being patriotic.

Democratic politicians should be saying this!

3. I've got a question. With all this supposedly private info data
processing being outsourced overseas, exactly how are our privacy rights being protected? How is HIPPA effected by this? What about all this bank data processing, credit card info, etc, etc, etc.

How is privacy now protected? Under the same laws as we had here? How are their security systems audited for hacking and unauthorized access?
WTF, we couldn't keep Repugs out of Senate computers for crissake. I know security here isn't the best, but at least until Shrub gets around to torte reforms we have redress.

4. Ross Perot was always a Giant Sucking Sound
and he has joined the ranks of those that suck the jobs and livelihoods from the citizens of this country.

He must rise every morning and salute his one true god - the dollar in his pocket and then he waltzes over and kisses the picture of GWB square on the mouth.

8. I love this bit of Orwellian wording....
"Perot Systems, the computer services company founded by former presidential candidate Ross Perot, is all set to add about 3,500 jobs in India and move into two new facilities there this year."

He's "adding" jobs in India, not laying-off 3,500 American workers.
