We advised against Iraq war - Adams (Sinn Fein)
Sinn Fein leaders used their experience of terrorism to advise Britain and the United States against going to war in Iraq, the party's president Gerry Adams said in Canberra, Australia.

Adams said he and Martin McGuinness, "had the audacity" to advise US President George Bush and Tony Blair against the war.

"We predicted from our own experience how it would end up," Adams told the National Press Club in Canberra.
