Up to 25 killed in Iraq blast


A powerful car bomb has exploded in the centre of Baghdad, killing up to 25 people.
The blast occurred outside an army recruiting centre, the United States military said. It said all casualties were Iraqis.

Ambulances were seen rushing victims to local hospitals, witnesses said.

The blast comes a day after an apparent suicide car attack outside a police station in Baghdad killed at least 50 people and injured dozens of others.

1. It is hard to see BFEE pulling out in June

Even if they actually wanted to, which I doubt. If the U.S. military pulls out, and the lid comes off, as it surely must, people will really be wondering what the hell it was all about.

Unless the U.S. installs another strongman. I wonder if Saddam will somehow outlast another Bush presidency. Nah, that's too crazy, even for the BFEE.
