O'Reilly apologizes to viewers for supporting W's pre-war WMD claims
Conservative television news anchor Bill O'Reilly said on Tuesday he was now sceptical about the Bush administration and apologised to viewers for supporting prewar claims that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

The anchor of his own show on Fox News said he was sorry he gave the United States government the benefit of the doubt that former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein's weapons programme posed an imminent threat, the main reason cited for going to war.

"I was wrong. I am not pleased about it at all and I think all Americans should be concerned about this," O'Reilly said in an interview with ABC's Good Morning America.

"What do you want me to do, go over and kiss the camera?" asked O'Reilly, who had promised rival ABC last year he would publicly apologise if weapons were not found.

"go over and kiss the camera" - ha ha ha ha ha

ok o'really, you helpled the bush regime pull this criminal invasion off and you've got the blood on your hands to prove it; now you've admitted you were wrong, well, you've tied your knots, you've had your say, now "shut up!" And go away.

(for anyone who might not know, "shut up" is a common response from this pig when his guests say something he doesn't like)

8. Ain't showbusiness grand
Pump the ignorant Fox viewer up with 4 straight months of propaganda. Then apologize in a 30 second aside. That's what's so great about Bill O'Reilly - he's so full of shit it's like watching satire.

4. But a feeble apology
and he went from, what I understood his statement to be, "never trust the Bush administration again" to now "be more skeptical".

5. Well, well, well....
and heh, heh, heh!

O'Whorely, albeit belatedly, makes somewhat good on his pledge.

Let us be thankful for small favors (and O'Whorely's favors are no doubt very small!)`

7. I couldn't believe it
He must be missing some pages from the play book; being part of "right" wing means never having to admit your wrong.

11. Now will he also apologize
for his countless personal vendettas and thin-skinned rages against anyone he thinks has wronged him? And his relentless self-promoting and outsize ego? I was at the gym last week and the bank of TVs had his show on. He rambled on forever about how his book sales weren't being fairly reported. He was crying about how Hillary gets preferential treatment. And this from a self-professed tough Irish kid. What a fake. What a whiner. I loathe the man. He represents the worst of us.

13. The wingnuts are calling O'Reilly a syphilitic piece of
dogshit, or worse, for turning on Bush.

I love watching wingnuts eat their own.

16. Well now that he admits that he was wrong
Maybe he should apologize to all the families of the 530+ dead soldiers? Or maybe he could go over to Walter Reed and apologize to the 1000's of kids who will be disabled for the rest of their lives? Or maybe he can redeem his soul by discontinuing his support for this misadministration and start demanding that Bu$h & Co be held accountable for their lies and crimes?
