State Democratic Party endorses Schwarzenegger's March ballot measures
SACRAMENTO - The California Democratic Party Tuesday officially endorsed Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's March ballot initiatives, reinforcing the bipartisan packaging for the measures that are crucial to the governor's budget-balancing plan.

Democrats overwhelmingly supported the $15 billion bond and balanced-budget amendment in the Legislature, but declined to endorse the measures -- Propositions 57 and 58, respectively -- at their convention last month.

3. Let the shareholders of PG&E pay ...
... and the shareholders of all the "sheltered" companies that hid all of PG&E's billions.

Let Kenneth Lay pay.

Let the gropernator himself pony up that $4 million campaign fine.

Why do the Democrats keep shooting themselves in the feet?

4. Is a Balanced Budget Mandatory in California?
Many state constitutions (such as my native NJ) require a balanced budget. Is California one of these states?

8. Wait and listen...
Remember how congress set up King George Sr back in 1991(?) when they got him to sign that tax hike and break his "no new taxes" pledge? Maybe the CA congress is setting the Gropenator up the same way - get him to screw up and break his promises under the guise of "bi-partisan" stuff then they can kick his steriod pumped ass out next legit election for screwing things up even worse?

5. Grassroots Democrats oppose this. I want to know WHO decided this.
Was it some small committe somewhere. If the convention wouldn't endorse it, then it's wrong for some small group to circumvent the party's broader will. I know my Sacramento CA Democratic club voted to oppose it by a large margin.

9. I don't care what they say
I am voting NO on all of those propositions. The groper said he could fix the problems so he has no business pawning it off on the people to bail him out. Groper shouldn't have gotten rid of the so-called car 'tax' that was geared towards helping his buddies like Jay Leno. :argh:

10. I'm with you Piperay!
I'm voting NO on both! I think this is absolutely the stupidest thing the CA Dems have done in a long time...oh wait, check that - I forgot about their recall campaign - that was pretty piss-poor too.

Boy those Greens are looking better and better.... *grrr*

12. Oh brother.
The California Dems are a perfect example of what is wrong with the Party and the lack of opposition in general. They make me ill. :puke:
