GAO to Probe Medicare Ad Campaign
"WASHINGTON, DC -- 02/10/2004 -- (Eli Digital) A federal watchdog agency plans to investigate concerns that the Bush administration is using Medicare promotions as political propaganda."
"
The General Accounting Office last week said it would look into whether the administration is using federally funded advertisements and brochures for "political purposes," the Washington Post reports. The investigation will focus on 30-second television ads that inform beneficiaries about changes to Medicare."

Dubya doesn't miss any bets when it comes to misusing power, does he?

4. Give him a break, will you!?
He only has $200 million to run nasty campaign ads....he needs this free advertising.

Next people will be bitching about his use of Air Force 1 to fly to various fund raisers...

will it never end?

:)

5. NPR yesterday ...
I heard a snippet in the car that sounded like the ad agency that did the Medicare advertising campaign is the same agency that does the Bu$h-2004 (I just can't use the term re-election when talking about the Chimp) campaign.

6. That would be correct
The ad agency responsible for the (arguably false) Medicare ads is the one that has the contract for Bush-Cheney 2004.

7. Medicare drug cards: An uncertain benefit
Older Americans expecting huge savings on prescriptions may be disappointed. The plan will aid the very poor the most.
What a surprise!! Who'd a thunk it.
