(CNN) Poll: Voters' think most of Congress should go, especially GOP
Source: CNN

A new national poll suggests that a majority of Americans don't think most members of Congress deserve to be re-elected. But most of the anger appears to be directed at Republicans rather than Democrats, who have controlled both houses of Congress for the past two years.

Fifty-eight percent of registered voters questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll released Wednesday said that most members of Congress do not deserve to be re-elected; 37 percent said most members should be returned to office.

"It's a "throw the bums out" sentiment similar to how the public felt in 1994, when Congress switched to GOP control, and 2006, when Congress switched back to Democratic control," said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. ...

1. " Fifty-five percent of those questioned said their member of Congress deserves re-election;"
"38 percent said no."

They elected those guys. In most cases over and over and over again. And they didn't say boo before it was too late.
Frankly they deserve what they got. I have no sympathy for all those idiot rednecks who earn 20 bucks a year and vote for the jerks who give tax cuts to millionaires.

4. "But most of the anger appears to be directed at Republicans ...
... rather than Democrats, who have controlled both houses of Congress for the past two years." Let's get the GOP out...the 'Roadblock Republicans'...they are the ones to blame. Most Democrats have been trying to prevent catastrophe on all fronts...foreign policy, the economy, the environment, and our place on the global stage.

11. We probably need to focus on...
...uniting the country and fixing the mess Bush created. Hard to impeach them once they are gone...even if they deserve it.

9. From the article............
"The democrats have controlled both houses of congress for the past two years. They are the ones who blocked over sight on fannie mae and freddie mac for financial gain."

Somebody needs to explain to this person that Democrats has been in the majority of congress for the last two years.
But, the Republican "FILLIBUSTER" has been in control of congress. So if anyone should be thrown out it should be the "obstruct and blame the obstructed for obstructing" Republicans.

10. With Congress' approval rating only a third of Bush*'s I don't doubt this at all.
I would say the same thing if I were to be polled on the subject..I think they are abominable and need to go. There is right and wrong and they don't seem to ever want to do the right thing, only the most expedient thing for themseloves. "Impeachment is Off the Table" What garbage....
