(Update MN) Police: Coleman, 4 other Congress members have property damaged
Source: Star Tribune

When Laurie Coleman, wife of U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman, hauled her trash to the alley at 7:30 this morning, a chilling sight greeted her.

Spray-painted in black on the wooden siding of the garage in the couple's Summit Hill neighborhood was this angry graffiti, in letters nearly a foot high: "U R A CRIMINAL RESIGN OR ELSE! PSALM 2"

On the alley side, each double-bay stall door had the word "SCUM" spray painted in black ink, as a did a wooden partition in between.

At least four other Minnesota Congress members have been vandalized in similar fashion: U.S. Reps. Keith Ellison, John Kline, Michelle Bachmann and Jim Ramstad. Of those, Ellison is the sole Democrat.

Ellison's appears to be the only incident so far in which the home itself was vandalized. Campaign manager Larry Weiss said that Ellison's wife, Kim, went out this morning and found graffiti that said "Traitor. Resign now. Psalm 2" across the side of their corner home. The word "SCUM" was spraypainted above the garage door -- high enough, Weiss said, that the culprit probably would have needed a stepstool.

2. Psalm 2
1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

5. Where in that Psalm does it say to damage property?
I guess who ever did this didn't want to put his/her trust in their g*d to handle it.

6. in some ways this seems Rovian. Say that Dems did it but the only catch... Why Ellison?
Rove would have a Republican's office vandalized so that he could point the finger at a Democrat.

Vandals deface Minn. congressional members' homes
By PATRICK CONDON – 30 minutes ago

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Vandals scrawled graffiti on the homes and garages of several members of Minnesota's congressional delegation during the night, targeting both Republicans and Democrats with words including "scum" and "resign."

Representatives of Sens. Norm Coleman and Amy Klobuchar and Reps. Jim Ramstad, John Kline, Keith Ellison and Michele Bachmann confirmed the vandalism Wednesday.

The similar attacks stretched across the Twin Cities and surrounding communities, taking place late Tuesday or early Wednesday.

The vandals hit Coleman's house in St. Paul, Bachmann's in Stillwater, Klobuchar's and Ellison's in Minneapolis, Ramstad's in Minnetonka, and Kline's in Lakeville.

12. Ellison is the relatively newly-elected Muslim congressman, isn't he?
You don't think his inclusion on this list was religiously motivated, do you?
