U.S. brings anti-pot message to Ottawa
A leading U.S. anti-drug campaigner is expected to warn Canadian officials Tuesday that marijuana decriminalization could be viewed as a threat that, in the post-Sept. 11 world, might provoke stricter border controls.

Barry Crane, deputy director for supply reduction at the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), is in Ottawa Tuesday for meetings with federal government officials. He is the latest of a series of high-level representatives to criticize Canadian efforts to change course in the struggle against drug use.

Junior can do drugs for 25 years, in the White House for 4 years, but when he stops everyone got to stop. Obviously drugs aren't bad because Junior did them for 25 years and now he's pResident.

7. An even stronger
response would be for them to just close the valve.

That would get everbody's attention.

4. tsk tsk! didn't you get the memo?
being a cokehead, an alcoholic, having a DUI, etc etc are all YOUTHFUL INDESCRETIONS (even though many of his wild ways continued well into his 40's)

An 'average citizen' using drugs to any extent is a terrorist, who will shoot their friends b/c they smoked a joint. Didn't you see the commercials?

5. White House sacrifices economy again

In effect, the White House is saying "we will damage our trade relations with Canada if Canada eases pot laws".

Any wonder our economy is in the crapper? I am sure GM loves to hear their parts might be delayed getting from Canada to Detroit.

White House is a bunch of idiots.
