Roll Call: Senate Judiciary Committee Memo Probe May Go to DOJ
http://www.rollcall.com/issues/49_76/news/4311-1.html (subscription required)

Key Senate Democrats predicted Monday that the internal investigation into the Judiciary Committee’s leaked memos would be turned into a full-blown criminal investigation.

Exiting a 90-minute briefing about the probe with Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Bill Pickle, a quartet of senior Judiciary Democrats declared that what they had heard led them to believe a criminal inquiry, most likely with the Justice Department handling it, should occur.

“Eventually, this has to be looked at as a criminal matter,” said Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), the ranking member on Judiciary.

Leahy sat in on the Senators-only briefing with Sens. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.), Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), all of whom declined to speak of the details of where Pickle stands in his three-month investigation into how GOP staffers took what now appears to be thousands of Democratic files off of their computers.

5. Roll Call's Currin, this a.m. on C-Span said "Thousands of Dem Memo's"
had been taken off the computer and leaked! He said it all had to do with the Judicial Appointments and the Dems were involved with "influence groups" and so that's why Repugs leaked..

He made it sound like it was an "overzealous Repug staffer" who did this but then said there was another "staffer involved" who was going to write a book using the memos to show Dem were "influenced" by outside groups to filibuster the Judicial appointments.

It was really disgusting the spin that Tim Currin put on it. I posted the blurb from Roll Call...but couldn't post the whole story because you have to pay big $$$'s and be a subscriber to read the whole article.

It made me sick.....Why weren't our Dems on top of this when they saw the leaks coming out printed in WSJ and Wash. Times? This was going on for a year or more. No one wondered?

And why were Dems sharing a Computer Server with the Repug enemies in the first place!!!????

So many questions....why now....and why are they so computer clueless that this happened in the first place. :-(
