1. Is it true that the rightwing pundits were touting some internet poll that
showed them separated by only 2 points? I heard a blip about this on Randi yesterday, and I thought she said it was Gallup? I admit, I was totally confused.

2. Gallup has three different polling models
And one of them does indeed show a 2 point race, or something to that effect.

4. Thanks. I guess to ensure that their base turns out, they have to tout
the one poll that shows a tight race.

5. Read the table
Go read the third column of the table underneath the graph. Sadly, this reflects the past where more democratic voters would neglect to vote than republican. God, I hope it is different this time. The war is not won yet, and I refuse to fall victim to hubris.

7. no, what it does is EXCLUDE NEW REGISTRANTS! it only includes
those who have actually voted before. Which because of the excitement Obama has brought to young and poor who have never voted before, it distorts the reality of what is happening on the ground.

3. Where is all
the 'tightening' I keep hearing about? wishful thinking? Some psychic projection?

I don't want to get too excited but I must admit I am feeling pretty good today.
