McCain draws bipartisan criticism for 'robo calls'
Source: Yahoo! News

LAS VEGAS - Two senators in opposing political parties asked Republican presidential
candidate John McCain to stop the automated phone calls that link Democratic candidate
Barack Obama to a 1960s radical.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat, and Sen. Susan Collins, a Maine
Republican, made separate appeals to McCain on Friday. Collins faces a tough race for
re-election and serves as co-chairwoman of his Maine campaign.

"These kind of tactics have no place in Maine politics," Collins spokesman Kevin Kelley
said. "Sen. Collins urges the McCain campaign to stop these calls immediately.

Nice of Senator Collins to speak out, but perhaps she might also want to note that the
slime coming from the McCain campaign is pretty much 24/7, and that robo calls are
hardly the only way they're delivering this garbage.

2. McCain Is A Perpetual Christmas
Every day another gift for us.

Not only is he handing the election to Obama, he's taking Republican members of Congress down as well.

3. Collins was shamed into doing this by the Maine Democratic Party
She didn't do this on her own. She's only 8 points up in her Senate race against Tom Allen.

She's still the state co-Chair of the McCain campaign and she's been asked to resign.

4. I wrote my R represenetative here
and asked them to censure McKKKain for this

along with Michelle McCarthy for her outlandishly similar tactics -- Ironically, both are demonstrating an utter disregard for our democracy and as such are showing themselves to be Un-American in their Fascist tactics.

Yeah, I said that.

5. And it's good that you're saying that. I think we ought to turn the tables on this you're-unAmerican
stuff.

Turn it straight back on them. "No, YOU are the ones who are un-American. HOW DARE YOU!!?!?!?!? It's UN-American to pull these fascist tactics. It's UN-American to promote hatred and intolerance. TRUE freedom-loving Americans DON'T do that stuff. This isn't Nazi Germany. This isn't "Tailgunner Joe" McCarthy. Or is it? Is that REALLY what you want? Is THAT how you're trying to pervert this country?" We should spray that all over that michelle backmann crackpot - and turn her strength into her greatest and most vile weakness. Counter this head-on. Shove it straight back down their throats. Clearly AND RUTHLESSLY label what they're doing, as the hideously UN-American practice that it IS, and paint it all over them.

6. Yes!! I could not agree MORE. We need to put this in their face. I hope
the Dem surrogates start saying this stuff on msm.

In the meantime, I love this country too much to see it become Nazi Germany without a fight.

8. Sick, Sick, Sick!!!
As a Missourian, I am sickened by these robo calls! I contacted the McCain campaign and republican Senator Kit Bond to voice my concerns. Besides the fact that these are bold-faced lies, I am alarmed that in my household and many others, children could easily pick up the phone and hear the "hate" expressed with such words as bombings, killings, etc. Highly offensive!

Clean Obama campaign in Missouri --- we're going blue!!! Claire McCaskill is a real straight shooter in this MO campaign as are the thousands of volunteers!!!
