Missouri GOP Offices Tighten Security After Break-In

INDEPENDENCE, MO. -- Republican offices across the state of Missouri are tightening their security following a break-in at a campaign office in Independence.

The break-in occurred during GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain's visit to the Truman Library in Independence on Wednesday.

According to party officials, someone shattered the front window of the campaign office and stole a laptop containing information and went through a briefcase that staffers say contained information vital to their campaign. They say that no other equipment was taken.
