No link yet. I'll post when I get it.

We have a U.S. President apparently saying that the credit markets are frozen.

No link yet.

Just my 2 cents, but I believe that the problem if really AND that the bailout bill only makes the problem worse.

3. He's trying to pressure House members on the fence, trying to publicly strike pre-emptively
that is, if something goes wrong and you are a House member who voted against this bill, voters will hold you responsible.

Of course, I wouldn't give me $20,000 of credit. One of us should be prudent. Looks like it's gonna have to be me.

They are talking about short term revolving lines of credit that businesses and governments rely on.

49. Wells Fargo is in better shape than they've ever been..
local banks are flush with cash.

Capitalize these banks and let them pick up the slack.

Giving free money to the bad banks makes as much sense as giving free money to Enron when they were collapsing.

12. YAWN - The little drunk guy is crying "wolf" again. Who's up for soaking him in maple syrup?
We can leave him tied up near an ant hill afterward!

The more they send Bush out in "Terrists/Dangers/Be Afraids" mode, the less support they are going to get. They need to lock him in the Oval Office with a couple of cases of Jack Daniels and a port-a-potty.

47. Well, I might just give you that...
I really, really hate fire ants. Ortho commercials use the tag line "fire ants MUST die". When you get bit, it is about 10 days of hell (if you don't scratch it) before the sore goes away. But, all in all, I will have to concede that they are easier to get rid of than Bush :)

39. people are getting the type of credit being talked about confused
it is the short term revolving lines of credit that business and municipalities depend on that are frozen.

When people can still get a credit card or personal loan today they assume that all credit is fine and it is all a big scam.
