8. Here's the Yahoo link to the story.
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=694&ncid=703&e=2&u=/ap/20040207/ap_on_el_pr/dean

I figured this news wouldn't leak until after Wisconsin.
Personally, I would be mad as hell if my candidate was begging me for $ to stay in the race, while knowing that the unions are considering pulling their support.

5. Ted Kennedy is pressuring both

AFSCME and SEIU to withdraw support for Dean.

Thats the story from Fox, make whoat you will of it. I put it up for informational purposes only, and not proof of anything, since everyone seems to be asking:

Dean was counting on money and help from the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

But Fox News learned that Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy has been pressuring both the SEIU and the AFSCME to withdraw their endorsements of Dean and back Kerry instead.

Kerry aides told Fox they didn't believe the two labor unions would pull out of supporting Dean, but they were hoping Kennedy's push would have some

7. so? the union members
usually vote the party and candidate they want. the unions endorsement lost it`s meaning ever since Reagan`s crew got the democrats to vote for him.

10. It's all about beating Bush
Karl Rove is like the Bill Belichick (winning Superbowl coach) of politics. Whatever happens from here on in is about defeating Bush, not about endorsing any particular candidate. If by some miracle Dean(who I supported) wins some states, I'm sure the union will change its mind again.
