Pa. Republican congressman declines debate

(Source: Associated Press/AP Online)trackingINDIANA, Pa. - Republican presidential candidate John McCain isn't the only one citing the economic crisis as a reason to delay debate plans.

Republican U.S. Rep. Bill Shuster is declining an invitation to debate Democratic candidate Tony Barr. The event is scheduled Oct. 12, when a Shuster spokesman says Congress may need to be dealing with emergency legislation.

The Shuster campaign says it will look for a debate slot after emerging from the economic crisis.

Barr argues that the financial crisis is all the more reason to hold a debate and discuss appropriate actions.

2. Tony Barr is terrific, making headway in an almost impossibly Red district.

Tony would make a great Congressman so if anyone on DU wants to spread a little love (i.e. $$) his way for his campaign it would be a good thing for the whole Keystone State.

:-)

5. I'd love to see Tony Barr do well.
Bill Shuster is a great example of what is wrong with American government today. He's a tool.

7. Chicken impersonations from "Arrested Development"...
The best TV show ever, but cancelled by Fox after 3 seasons... Rent it, buy it, but just watch it... Trust me, I promise you that you will always remember me, Target Practice, for introducing it to you.

The animation is Portia De Rossi and Will Arnett doing chicken impersonations to mock Jason Batemen (who says, "Have any of you actually seen a chicken?").
