Seoul jails U.S. soldier for hit and run
A South Korean court sentenced a U.S. soldier to three years in jail yesterday for driving under the influence of alcohol and fleeing the scene of an accident in which a 22-year-old woman died.

Sergeant Jerry Onken, 32, from Onamia, Minnesota, apologized to the court for the accident in November in which Kee Kyeong-Sun died and three other South Koreans were injured.

"The soldier offered his sincere apology after admitting the charges, " an official at Suwon district court told AFP.
