GOP criticizes advisory of Ohio elections chief
Source: AP

Republicans are attacking Ohio's top elections official after the Democrat told counties that they aren't required to allow third-party election observers at absentee ballot drop-off sites.

Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner says in a Tuesday advisory that state law provides for such observers when absentee ballots are processed and counted, but not when they are cast.

Republican National Committee co-chair Jo Ann Davidson calls the advisory an "attempt to encourage both parties to turn a blind eye (to fraud)." Ohio Republican Party Chairman Bob Bennett says it raises serious doubts about the integrity of elections.

Brunner spokesman Jeff Ortega points out that absentee ballots are processed by bipartisan teams and says Brunner has sought to promote clear and consistent statewide elections standards.

3. How does one observe the casting of absentee ballots?
Under Ohio Revised Code:

Observers may be appointed under section 3505.21 of the Revised Code to witness the examination and opening of identification envelopes and the counting of absent voters’ ballots under this section.

That is after the absentee ballots have been received by the Election Board. Do THESE observers expect to be able to stay in the Election Board's office from the time the first ballot is received until the deadline? NUMBNUTS

4. This is just another
attempt by the Republicans to intimidate voters at the drop off locations. They've done it before, hiring "security" to stand at poling places with arm bands that read "polling security" and demanding peoples ID's to try and scare people away from the polls. The dam Republiscum are the masters of voter intimidation, vote scamming, loosing votes and manipulating the count.
