PORTLAND (AP) -- Maine Democrats are ramping up for the state's presidential caucuses, scheduled for Sunday.

Massachusetts Senator Edward Kennedy is visiting Bangor and Lewiston Friday with the daughter of candidate John Kerry.

Kerry held a rally in Portland Thursday and earned endorsements from Gov. John Baldacci and former U.S. Senate majority leader George Mitchell.

Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich will make four stops in Maine on Sunday, concluding with a party in Portland.

2. This should be interesting
Maine recently dropped primaries in favor of caucuses.

and a certain unnamed New Englander might pull a rabbit out of this hat.

and as Maine goes....well you know the rest.

4. and it is snowing and has been snowing all day since ten AM
and supposed to last throughout tommorrow.

I am looking forward to the caucases. This should be fun. I only hope that the weather does not hold back a lot of people from contributing.

There has been an enormous amount of chatter in my small town and not favorable to Bush. I have not remembered this much conversation re politics since I have lived here, for more than twenty years.

People are pissed off, and have no qualms about saying so.

I have never seen this much interest and this much anger expressed before. All over the place-the supermarket, the street, the book store--all over the place

People in Maine are pissed at Bush.
