Fourth peace activist in D.M. ordered to testify

A federal investigation expanded Thursday as prosecutors subpoenaed a fourth peace activist to appear before a grand jury and secured a court order forbidding Drake University officials to discuss a demand for information about a November antiwar conference on campus.

Federal authorities so far have refused to disclose what the investigation is about or what laws might have been broken. But an officer with the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force served a subpoena to Wendy Vasquez of Des Moines on Thursday morning.


Vasquez, an antiwar activist who visited Iraq in 2002, was surprised.

"Just the whole idea that somebody would think I'm a terrorist is ludicrous," she said.

7. Investigation of the SCA

Not only was the SCA investigated because of the word "Anachronism" in its title but a filk song "Harmless Historical Nuts" was written about it. Supposedly that was the actual conclusion in the report - that the SCA was a bunch of harmless historical nuts who wear boilerplate on their butts. LOL

We shouldnt play down the reality that we know for a fact. Joint Terrorism Task Force members are chosen from a pool of right wing whackos who can be counted upon to do the wrong thing for the Right.
This single fact may be the most important bit of information you can carry around and share with others. We are deep into an American NAZI Executive power abuse situation that is only ignored at EVERYONES peril. As much as I love to joke and laugh, this isnt the least bit funny. They are infiltrating any and all organizations and meetings that involve politically active progressive/antiwar/anticorporate activities and discussion. As little as we have to hide, they may still make phony cases out of whole cloth. Protect yourself and others by acknowledging this, and most importantly, sharing the facts of it.

8. Much harder than you might think

It can take a rather tragic stroke of luck to reveal these machinations that would otherwise be denied forever. Who would have thought that a man being beheaded in front of his own two daughters could be a good thing? Forgive me that comment, but life is strange.
