Palin offers first television interview to ABC
Source: associated Press

Republican vice presidential running mate Sarah Palin is offering her first televised interview to ABC News in the coming week in Alaska.

Palin, the surprise pick of Republican presidential nominee John McCain, has been giving campaign speeches alongside the Arizona senator since the GOP convention but has not sat down for an interview about her views.

A McCain-Palin adviser says an interview was offered to ABC's Charlie Gibson several days ago and that they expect it to happen in the latter part of the week in Alaska. Palin is the governor of Alaska and is expected to return home at midweek after more joint appearances with McCain

... political lynching of Obama during the primary debates.

I'd like to see Little Miss Herself on Meet the Press with Tom Brokaw and I'd like to see him grill HER to the same extent he just grilled Biden - PARTICULARLY on foreign policy.

Safe little softball appearances with the Media Democratic Lynchmob are NOT gonna cut it.

Gee. I wonder if he'll ask her about FLAG PINS? Pfffft!

when the following is mentioned...

Moose
Basketball
Beauty contests
Her "spirituality"
Her son Track
Her struggles with balancing being a governor and having a "special needs" baby (even though she has a nanny like most rich people)

I'm surprised her first interview isn't on TBN or Pat Robertson's show tax supported show, 700 Club.

questions we can expect:

"what's it like being in charge of a really big state?"

"How much do you love America?"

"When it isn't dark, can you see Russia? In order to monitor them, I mean...I bet you're so close you could almost jump over there!"

"Don't you think it should be mandatory to wear an American flag pin, even if it's made in China?"

"Will you make sure my taxes are lower?"

"Don't you think I ask good questions?"

does she deign to come off her throne and give an interview?

who the fuck cares?

Until she allows unvetted questions, I think the entire press should follow Oprah's example, except I think Oprah should come out saying, Fine, you want to boycott me, go ahead. Now I'm going to put my money where my mouth is. When can Obama come on?

That's a show I'd watch and I'll bet the questions would be more hard-hitting than abc's soft ball kissing the feet of the blood queen of lies.

30. Palin agrees to interview
Source: Yahoo News

Under pressure for being shielded for questioning, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) has a agreed to sit down with Charles Gibson of ABC’s “World News Tonight,” according to an ABC News official.

No other interviews are scheduled. It will be the first TV interview for Palin since she was named 10 days ago as running mate to Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

Palin had planned to return to Alaska this weekend but is so popular on the stump that she is going to stay out a few more days before returning home. One of her sons deploys to Iraq on Thursday.

Palin plans to sit down with Gibson later this week in Alaska, the source said.

The McCain campaign kept her off Sunday shows this weekend and plans to be sparing with high-risk network encounters, which they contend are unimportant to voters despite the media’s fixation on them.

37. Smart move by the McCain camp. . .
this deflects the criticism that she won't meet with the press yet protects her from any probing questions. The American people may see this for the sham it is but I'd guess McCain hopes her appearance on TV -- any TV show asking any questions whatsoever -- will mute the increasingly pointed criticism that they're hiding her.

But hey, maybe Gibson will prove his detractors wrong. (Yeah. That's gonna happen . . .)

55. This is bullshit. Pretty easy to imagine what the
questions will be.

You are so attractive. Can you share some of your beauty secrets with the ladies in the audience?

What is it like being the governor of the largest state in the nation?

You are the mother of a special needs child. God must have entrusted that child to you for a reason knowing you would be an exceptionally fine parent. Why do you think God gave that very special little boy to you?

You were a high school basketball player. What words of encouragement do you have for female athletes?

The questions won't even rise to the level of softball. They'll be wiffleballs.
