3. On a CNN Finance show yesterday, they blamed Clinton for mortgage crisis
We are dealing with the same crowd that blames a mythological Satan for all the ills of the world.

2. Bill Clinton was IMPEACHED and he's still incredibly popular, and has
always spoke at our conventions since he left office.

Shrub can't even speak at his own party's convention WHILE he's president.

5. Looks Like That Evangelical Preachers Prayers Were Answered......
now neither Bush or Cheney will embarrass the Repugs.

They were looking for some excuse - any excuse - and now they have one.

Overall the RNC couldn't hold a candle to the show at the DNC. They would look very bad by comparison. So actually - all this is really working into the favor of the Repugs. They'll be able to get a lot of mileage out of this storm.

Nothing has changed. They are still preying on the lives of the people that will be affected by this storm as they did during Katrina.

8. Oddly the proper thing to do IS to cancel Bush's appearance...
But it won't help them one way or another. The storm, if it is bad enough, will remind voters of Bush Katrina neglect and the carnage will carry THAT sour note through November.

I'm not praying for that though. Unlike James Dobson who prayed for bad weather at the DNC in Denver last week.

I pray no one gets hurt.

10. Did anyone get the Michael Moore letter to God about Rev. Dobson requesting a storm in Denver?
Dear God,

The other night, the Rev. James Dobson's ministry asked all believers to pray for a storm on Thursday night so that the Obama acceptance speech outdoors in Denver would have to be canceled. ...

16. good idea to hide out why people are dying because of them
they after all failed to pass the legislation necessary to shore up and fix the levees.

Every life lost this time around in the next Katrina event about to happen is blood on the hands of every single member of the Congress that failed to vote for this critical legislation!

May they reap what they have sowed.

Karma really is a bitch!!!

after the clusterfuck of a mess they've left this country and their party.

20. Well, if he's going to be spending it on crisis management...
... it's the correct thing to do.

If he's going to be spending it reading My Pet Goat: Rise of the Son or do a striptease act for John McCain's birthday, well... hell, considering his leadership skills, it's still probably better than him in crisis management!!!

Of course, his entire party is thanking God that he won't be there.

23. Oh, and not because Rove told them too?
Seriously, how stupid do they think we all are. They were oblivious to Katrina and are now staying in DC because McCain's camp doesn't want to remind the public of their close ties to a failed presidency. How much more transparent can these fools be?

28. Shame they didn't pick New Orleans...
They were considering New Orleans for the obvious reason. "The city that the Republicans built." Well, if you're white and wealthy they did. What poetic justice it would be if they had. They would be evacuating along with everyone else. If the levees break again that might cost them the election. So in that sense, there is still some poetic justice.

and the telegraph lines didn't stretch to St. Paul. What is it in Washington they can do that they can't do elsewhere? This is so lame.
