Weider Launches 'Armchair General' War Magazine (Puke Alert!)
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The Los Angeles publisher that made its fortune on the dreams of armchair musclemen everywhere now wants to get Americans pumped up on a new avocation -- becoming armchair generals.

Eric Weider, whose family firm sold mainstream America on bodybuilding and Arnold Schwarzenegger, on Tuesday launched Armchair General, an "interactive" war magazine aimed at selling military history to the masses.

...
Weider is proudest of an interactive feature that will appear each month called "What Next, General?" in which readers fight historic battles as if they were one of the generals.

The magazine will also review war-related video games and films, preview futuristic weaponry, and include features on how history's foot soldiers were armed and equipped.

More than ever, I'm convinced TIIC are trying to make the American people complicit in their holy war dreams and other diseases.

1. Step right up, you would-be mass murderers!
The warbloggers and the History Channel set will go for this in a big way. In between pumping iron, they can pump pretend bullets into women and children -- for "democracy" and our "way of life"!

2. I happen to love the History Channel and military history and I'm
not a "warblogger" who "pumps iron" and who "can pretend to pump bullets into women and children--for democracy and our way of life."
I'm liberal and happen to find military history fascinating because of my families history since the Civil War.

Let the Right keep the stereotypes.

3. The Hitler..er...History Channel?
otherwise known as the Civil war channel when it gets tired of Hitler...
when they show some history of Ghandi in India I might turn it on.
