Lieberman Said Conceding if Winless Tues.
http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/politics/7864839.htm?template=contentModules/printstory.jsp

WASHINGTON - Democrat Joe Lieberman, facing an uncertain showing in his must-win state of Delaware, was making contingency plans Tuesday to withdraw from the presidential race, according to sources close to the campaign.

The campaign was making calls to close supporters asking them to be at the Hyatt Regency in Arlington, Va., Tuesday night at the postelection party. If Lieberman does not win at least one state - and his best hope is Delaware - he will make his concession speech there, said the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

He then would head home to Connecticut for a formal announcement in Hartford Wednesday.

While campaign staff continued to insist that Lieberman was moving on to campaign in Virginia this week, others close to the senator confirmed they have been told about a tentative 3 p.m. event in Hartford on Wednesday.

6. LOL!
I so totally agree. I've been wondering when he was going to start seeing the light and getting a clue. Maybe now he'll finally understand that we have problems a lot more serious than the contents of a fucking video game!

I do feel just a little bad for him, in a way, though. I still get a kick out of the fact that he boasted that "the Republicans think I'm the strongest candidate", he actually BOASTED about that!!!!!! Can you imagine a repuke saying the same thing if the situation were reversed?

On the shelf next to the rest of the hemarrhoid treatments.

Seriously, that's one unappealing word.

12. Hehehehe
Poor guy. I bet he thought of that himself and his campaign staff couldn't talk him out of using it.

Do you think he'll become a Republican now?

I hope the Dem Party gets the message now. Between his lackluster campaign and the defeats in 02, you would think they would have figured it out my now.

NO MORE GOP-LITE!!!

17. He was waiting for his federal matching funds
He'd better get out before he embarrasses himself in the Connecticut Primary. After the way he's conducted himself since Election 2000, he'll be lucky to keep his Senate seat in Connecticut. Seems that all his media face time went to his head and he became a legend in his own mind.

He'll probably blame Al Gore for keeping him waiting his decision to run. I remember Al saying at the time, don't wait for me, Joe.

24. I think you've nailed it perfectly,
he became such an egotistical prick, it was unbelievable. Of course, I never liked him from the start, with his morality-nanny bullshit, and other stuff like that. And since he seems to think the only major problems we have in this country are the contents of a fucking video game, I don't exactly consider him to be the most "mainstream" candidate, as he likes to call himself.

20. Hope he takes Al Sharpton with him
It's time both drop out, it's obvious the democrats don't want either of them, all they do is add to the confusion.

23. What do you have against Sharpton?
I love hearing him speak and I think he has really added to the debates. He can make all sorts of comments and not worry about protecting his frontrunner status.

What do you have against him?
