Lejeune Marine dies in Iraq combat

The Associated Press

CAMP LEJEUNE — A 19-year-old Marine based at Camp Lejeune has died while fighting in Iraq.

The Department of Defense said Friday that Pfc. Daniel A. C. McGuire of Mashpee, Mass., died Thursday while supporting combat operations in Anbar province.

Details about his death weren’t immediately released.

McGuire was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune

4. So Young
It is sad when guys that young die. I really think young people should be kept out of combat until they are 21. If they cannot drink until they are 21 they should not be put in combat until they are 21. I have no problem with young people not being able to drink until they are 21, but if they are too young to drink they should also be too young to go into combat.
