Musharraf stole war-on-terror aid, says Zardari
Source: Mumbai Mirror

London: In a fresh salvo against beleaguered President Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan’s ruling PPP chief has accused him of “misappropriating” a whopping USD 700 million of American aid to Islamabad for supporting the war on terror, and said “rogue” ISI members could have benefited from it...

...“Our grand old Musharraf has not been passing on all the 1 billion dollar a year that the Americans have been giving for the armed forces.

The army has been getting $250 million to $300 million, reimbursement for what they do, but where’s the rest? ...

...We’re talking about 700 million dollars a year missing. The rest has been taken by ‘Mush’ for some scheme or other and we’ve got to find it,” 54-year-old Zardari told the The Sunday Times.

2. Say it ain't so...
One of * allies in the war on terror is a th ief of American tax payer dollars...A leader who knows exactly where the Taliban is on the Pakistans side of the boarder...who is playing both sides....another failure by the * administration.

3. I would have been absolutely floored if he didn't.
It was supposed to be bribe money, so he would clamp down on the ISI interfering in Afgahnistan and Iraq.

6. The guy's a piker. An amateur.
He got peanuts compared to Cheney's cronies at Halliburton, and Blackwater, and a few more.

14. Exactly.
I'd bet dollars to donuts that a good chunk of that money is laundered through, Saudi Arabia, into Bush/Cheney pockets.

10. Follow the money...
my money (something less than $700,000,000) says that if someone can find a way to trace where this money ends up, you will see Bush/Cheney with a "cat who ate the canary grin". Perhaps either in an unmarked bank account or buying land in Paraguay. I wonder if Musharraf has bought any land in the same area?

John Edwards is so much juicier than this. This is just corruption, bribery and treason, whereas the Edwards thing is about out-of-wedlock SEX!
