Woman says spy charges are bunk
She's been jailed for nearly a year after telling FBI her ex-husband had secret documents

Deborah Cummings has been in the

on federal charges of distributing
top-secret U.S. military documents.

Nearly a year ago, Deborah Cummings was heading to teach her special education class at Pasco High School when FBI agents stepped out of the shadows.

Today, the 41-year-old schoolteacher sits in solitary confinement in the Spokane County Jail, accused of espionage and threatening national security.

She was arrested by the FBI on Feb. 3, 2003, on charges of keeping and distributing top-secret U.S. military documents.

"All they have to keep me in here is words -- lies -- not one bit of truth," Cummings said last week in her first interview since her arrest.
