RPG fired at army vehicle during Wolfowitz visit
RPG fired at army vehicle during Wolfowitz visit

Monday, February 2, 2004

(02-02) 02:50 PST MOSUL, Iraq (AP) --

Attackers fired a rocket propelled grenade at an army vehicle Monday as Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz met with local officials across town.

No one was hurt and the Stryker infantry carrier vehicle was only slightly damaged, said Brig. Gen. Carter Ham. Attackers in a passing car fired the RPG at the vehicle but its protective armor deflected the blast, Ham said.

Ham, the incoming commander of army forces in northern Iraq, said a Kiowa helicopter tried to locate the attackers' car but failed.

Wolfowitz at the time was on the opposite side of town meeting with officials in the newly refurbished City Hall.

1. This happens everyday, unless it hit Wolfowitz
Maybe he will actually see what he got started and quit saying this is a walk in the park, things are going well, we are winning. Nah, that will never happen.

3. I bet it is exciting
My hair would stand on end and I would pee myself if an RPG were shot at my car. That is not the type of excitement I go looking for though.

5. What a misleading title
Here's a more truthful title:

"Wolfowitz goes to Iraq and fighting doesn't stop!"

8. He brought it on himself
He had it coming, and should have realized that his presence in Iraq would bring attacks upon him.

10. I know you mean that in jest, but you gotta be careful about wishing
death upon people, even as vile as Wolfoshits.

The RW trolls our posts looking for something like this they can take out of context and use to call us traitors.

Granted, they will do it anyway, but we should try not to give them ammunition IMHO . . . .

13. Is it okay if we hope they will all end up on death row in TX for treason?
After all, they have the lives of tens of thousands of people and the misuse of hundreds of billions of dollars on their hands,...exceeding the violent criminal acts of all others on death row in Texas. Would it be okay for me to wish for justice against these incredibly corrupt and criminal freon neocons?

12. Wolfowitz: "They must hate me for my freedoms and values!!!"
Hey, Wolfie,...why don't you try this one on: "They hate you for your abuse of power!!!"

Of course, these "freon neocons" refrain from questioning themselves or listening to others (very anti-democracy since democracy de-stabilizes their insatiable thirst for power). It would be too damaging to their "beautiful minds". HMPFF!!!

14. Wolfie wants us to believe that things have now "normalized" in Iraq
Have at it Wolfie! If you get goosed by an RPG, don't blame us.
