Clark Motorcade Gets Speeding Ticket (in Oklahoma)

Polls show Democratic presidential candidate Wesley Clark doing well as he fights for Oklahoma's 40 delegates, but the state hasn't been entirely friendly territory him.

Clark's three-car caravan was headed back from a campaign appearance in McAlester to Oklahoma City shortly after midnight Sunday when it was pulled over by a state trooper.

The trooper cited Clark staffer Reid Cherlin -- who was driving the lead vehicle carrying Clark and foreign policy adviser Jamie Rubin -- for speeding.

The trooper said he clocked the car at 88 miles per hour in a 75 mile an hour zone. Cherlin said he had set the car's cruise control for 83 miles per hour.

I cruised through OK 2 years ago and they drove like us (silicon valley) on 101 and 280 - during rush hour.......speaking of RRRRRRRuuuussshh (still hasn't kicked it has he?) I'd put good $ on the 'ossifer' bein'a dittohead.

The trooper was just doing his job. Sounds from the article that he could have really been an asshole and issued three tickets, one for each car in the caravan.

Are politicans immune from the speed limits?

that he set his cruise control on 83? LOL. Please, you've got to come up with a better excuse than that if you want to get out of a speeding ticket. Like the time when I was pregnant and told the cop I was speeding because I had to go to the bathroom really bad. The poor guy didn't know what to do with me so he let me go.
