Delay Sought in Lawsuit From Anthrax Widow

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Citing national security, the federal government is seeking to delay a lawsuit from the widow of a man killed in the 2001 anthrax attacks.

The government asked a federal court to put off proceedings to avoid compromising the active investigation and to avoid disclosing sensitive information about such biological weapons as anthrax.

Robert Stevens, a photo editor at The Sun tabloid, is believed to have contracted anthrax from a tainted letter sent to the headquarters of American Media Inc. He died Oct. 5, 2001, from inhalation anthrax.

2. I did not know that

he took the picture. Shades of Carnahan, Wellstone, and who knows what else. It gives legitimacy to the people who know about things and will not tell. They think they would be next.
