Formal calls for probe into (CNN) reporter's name on no-fly list
Source: CNN

A House representative said Thursday she is requesting an investigation after learning a CNN reporter was put on the federal no-fly list shortly after his investigation of the Transportation Security Administration.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas asked Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff about "a curious and interesting and troubling phenomenon" that CNN Investigative Correspondent Drew Griffin was added to the list.

"My question is, why would Drew Griffin's name come on the watch list, post-his investigation of TSA?" Jackson Lee said.

"What is the basis of this sudden recognition that Drew Griffin is a terrorist? Are we targeting people because of their critique or criticism?"

1. The TSA needs to be investigated

They have become a monolith with absolutely no controls, Chertoff has committed crimes against American citizens.

"What is the basis of this sudden recognition that Drew Griffin is a terrorist? Are we targeting people because of their critique or criticism?"

In one word yes, that is exactly what's happening.\

Later in the article....finger pointing begins and the DOJ is involved
<snip>
Chertoff said if Griffin has a complaint, he should go to the department's inspector general. He pointed out, however, that the database of people on the no-fly list is maintained by the Department of Justice, not the TSA.

4. I will vote for ANYBODY who will throw these fucktards to the curb
The TSA is nothing more than an employer of last resort for hall monitor rejects, petty criminals, those who couldn't cut it in the fast food industry and misc. republican hanger-ons. They are people of no value to society.

5. Every time I go through the airport I realize we are NOT
protected by TSA. It is a nowhere job that is populated by people that can't find another job. The turnover has to be incredible. :dem:

6. PLEEEEEEEASE shine a bright light on TSA
and Homeland Insecurity. What a crock that whole thing is. Been to the Providence Airport lately? Slow day on a recent Sunday afternoon - we counted DOZENS of TSA guards/officials standing around chatting while a few actually did the work. We the People are paying for this and what is it getting us?

9. What time was it?
I used to work for the gov't: my husband claimed federal employees sat around scratching their balls til 10 a.m. daily (good thing I didn't have any).

This was an expression from years ago.

11. Between 3 and 6 pm
Can't think why they would have that many standing around. Not very busy there on a Sunday afternoon and as it is an airport with ONE runway, you know its just not as busy as other airports.
