Dick Cheney phoned certain lawmakers today to talk about an investigation. CNN says it's a negotiation to talk about the mechanics of an investigation. (More likely, it's intimidation.)

Does anybody know what McCain said today? I thought I caught a glimpse of him saying "if the administration is fearful of political fall-out, lets just have the invesitgation in 2005". I couldn't believe it so I am not sure if I heard it correctly.
